Here are some sketches from my senior project...some I like, some less...but it's ideation.

Heroes Leave The Mountains - color key
Basically, just picking a colour theory to use for the painting, and starting to lay it in over the rough value study.

Working my favorite thumbs
Picked my top 3 thumbnails from yesterday, and spent about 30 minutes on each turning them into what I would call "rough sketches" in greyscale. Still working very zoomed out, trying to focus on big shapes and the energy of the piece rather than how the robot's arm connects to its body.

Ghostbusters - Moving from rough study to working on the final
Basically completely redid the background based on what I learned playing with the study. I've decided to get rid of the building from my composition - I want Louis isolated, scared and very much alone in my darker, horror version.

Ghostbusters - adding colour
After watching "Attack the Block" for some reference, I added some blue-toned park lights in the background to make the creatures pop more. This is an interim state, and I've temporarily removed the building so I can focus on the outdoors components and lighting.
Senior Project warmup speedpaint
Two hour painting. Kinda psyched, I did something similar last year and it took 8 hours to get worse results ;)

Ghostbusters - The Abduction of Louis
In my vis-dev for Ghostbusters, instead of being possessed, Louis is captured by a pack of horrific creatures and taken to the top of the building to be sacrificed.
I want to make this MUCH creepier than I have thus far, but I'm trying to come up with some ideas as to how. Obviously, this is barely into the blocking-out phase and is nowhere near the finished painting.

Front of my promotional mailer.
I think this is now 99.99% done...
I might flip it back horizontally, I can't decide which way I like it better :)

Aztec Peter Pan
I was wondering if I could apply the "Aztec Statue" style I've been playing around with to existing characters...so here is "Aztec Peter Pan".
