After I hit up the VAG, I was inspired to play around a bit with some landscapes, so I did a few thumbnails before I delved into sketching people. Yesterday, I bought a Royo Sketchbook, hence the topless girl ;)
Here's the skull from my sculpture class after applying the stroke mold. Tomorrow I shall create a mother-mold out of plaster, and then we'll be ready to rock!
For my Creative Processes class, I had to use the parts from last week to make 3 prototypes of possible objects. I went with a robot, an arm and a bomb.
Started at sketchgroup, then hit up the Vancouver Art Gallery to see some amazing landscapes by the likes of Bierstadt, then went back to Waves again for more sketching.
Found a skull that I can use as a model to create my sculpture mold. First step is to use modeling clay to fill in some of the gaps and holes so I can pour stuff over it to create a negative mold. After that, I need to create a mother-mold and then pour the plaster :)
Here are some object studies of components of an old cash register and an old clock. They are for my Creative Processes class. Done in Photoshop, approx. time, 2.5 hours
