Going to see Avatar this evening, so limited amount of time to work on this...but I fixed some major problems with his face and hand, and tightened up some of the other things...think the guitar looks more like a guitar now ;)
I'm working on a digital painting of Dante from my Creative Process final project. Just for the heck of it, I'm going to chronicle it step-by-step here as well ;) Today I created 10 very quick thumbnail sketches, chose the one I wanted to play with, and started roughing in values. Tomorrow I need to spend some time finding some references for the face, and then further tighten things down.
Been drawing every day, but I haven't had the energy to scan anything, sorry :( Here are two quick landscapes I threw together in Vue8, playing with terrain functions.
Here is the final image for my 2nd project in my drawing class...had to use non-traditional media, so I drew with a Q-tip using India Ink, bleach and blonde hair dye on blue felt.
Here are two quick studies I did for my 33rd Century revision of Virgil and Dante from Dante's Divine Comedy. In my new version, it's based around rock music of the 20th century instead of classic poets, and it's set in a giant mega-city spire with 3 areas.
