Today's artist was our "surprise" guest this week at the Illustration Master Class. I know I've heard of him before, but the name never really rose above the signal-noise ratio of my brain.
Don't make that same mistake. This guy is a *fantastic* artist with a sumi-e brush! He does every panel of his comics as a separate illustration, and he can still finish 3-4 pages of incredible work a DAY. A long drawing for him is an HOUR.
On top of that, he was one of the warmest, nicest people I've met in a field of nice people. He does blog posts for Muddy Colors, and there is a documentary of his work available online.
