Today would have been my dad's birthday, so it seems appropriate to pick an artist that I discovered with him when I was very, very young. Today's artist helped create "Starblazers" - originally Space Battlecruiser Yamato. Some of my earliest memories (I was 3) are of sitting on the couch with my dad watching this cartoon. These character designs pretty much defined the look of "anime" for me (back then it was called "Japanimation"). I hope you enjoy. Happy Birthday Dad.
